Micheladas

MICHELADAS😍

Kinda like a bloody mary but with light beer instead of vodka because it’s a marathon not a sprint 😉 Plus my diet has been atrocious lately I even have to hide veggies in my cocktails lol The perfect accompaniment to your huevos rancheros at brunch or just some damn good tacos, you’re gonna wanna make this ASAP!

Tips:

  • Try to stay Mexican with your ingredients here - this drink is made best with Mexican beers like Modelo, Corona, or Sol and with hot sauces like Cholula or Tapatio

  • Clamato is best here, but you can use regular tomato juice too if you’re in a pinch. You can find Clamato at any regular grocery or liquor store or on Amazon.

Serves 2.

Ingredients:

For the Michelada:

  • 12 oz light Mexican beer (like Modelo, Corona, or Sol)

  • 1¼ cups Clamato, chilled

  • 2 tsps hot sauce (like Cholula or Tapatio)

  • 2 tsps worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp chamoy (optional)

  • Juice from ½ lime + lime wedge

  • Tajin

  • Ice

Directions:

For the Michelada:

  • Rim two pint glasses or wide mason jars with the lime wedge. Pour tajin on a plate and rim the glasses with the tajin.

  • Evenly divide the ice, clamato, hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, chamoy, and lime juice to each jar and stir.

  • Top each one with the beer, stir, and taste. Adjust for any seasonings. Enjoy!
