Citrus White Wine Sangria

CITRUS WHITE WINE SANGRIAšŸ˜

Although red wine sangria is most traditional and delicious as is, thereā€™s always a special place in my heart (or fridge) for crisp and fruity white wine sangriašŸ˜ Customizable to whatever you have in your fridge so itā€™s perfect for quarantine! You can even use already juiced citrus to reduce waste! Youā€™re gonna love this!

Serves 3-5.

Ingredients:

For the White Wine Sangria:

  • 2 bottles white wine (I prefer a Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, or Riesling over a Chardonnay since itā€™s a bit more crisp)

  • 1 grapefruit, peeled and sliced

  • 2 oranges

  • 1 blood orange (or regular orange), sliced

  • 2 lemons

  • 1 lime, sliced

  • 1 can of sparkling water (optional - lemon or orange flavored preferred)

Directions:

For the White Wine Citrus Sangria:

  • Cut an orange and lemon in half and juice into a pitcher. Cut the rest of the oranges and lemons into slices and add to the pitcher.

  • Add in grapefruit slices, lime slices, and 2 bottles of wine to the pitcher.

  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours, overnight preferred.

  • Serve in wine glasses with 1-2 slices of citrus. Top off with the sparkling water if you like and enjoy!
