Sangria

SANGRIA😍

I think anyone anywhere right now could probably use a big ol’ pitcher of delicious Sangria. Share with a few friends (or just a furry friend - I won’t judge 😉) and let your taste buds transport you to a Spanish vacation from anywhere in the world. You’re gonna wanna make this ASAP!

Tips:

  • One of the main keys of Sangria is that the longer it sits, the better it tastes. I like to keep mine in the fridge at least 4 hours before serving, but this can keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.

  • You may see a few recipes that include a cinnamon stick - I would not recommend adding one because it can give you a headache - not sure why, just advice from my dad lol

  • Some Sangria will have sugar in it - in my opinion, it doesn’t need it - it’s sweet enough with the fruit and the orange juice!

Serves 2-4.

Ingredients:

For the Sangria:

  • 1 bottle of red wine (don’t splurge here - any regular Cab, Pinot, or Merlot will work fine)

  • 1 cup orange juice

  • 2 oz vermouth

  • 1 oz rum (optional)

  • 1 green apple, chopped

  • 1 peach, chopped

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 1 orange, sliced into half moons

Directions:

For the Sangria:

  • Add the chopped green apple, peach, lemon, and orange to the bottom of a large pitcher.

  • Pour in the red wine, vermouth, rum, and orange juice and stir.

  • Let sit in the fridge for 4 hours up to overnight. Serve cold and enjoy!
