Lavender Lemon Martini

LAVENDER LEMON MARTINI😍

Every once in awhile I’ll stray away from my extra dirty Tito’s martini with 2 blue cheese olives and crave something a little more sweet and a little more delicate. The perfect amount of lavender to put your pinky up and live your best boujee life but not too much that it tastes like the inside of a Bath & Body Works, you’re gonna love this one!

Equipment Used:

  • The #1 thing you will need for this recipe is dried lavender. You can find this sometimes at major grocery stores (in the tea section), but your best bet is getting it online on Amazon. I linked the one I used here.

  • I always get compliments on my coupe glasses - it took me forever to find the perfect size I was looking for and I love these!! Linked here.

  • I keep my simple syrup in this pretty gold lid glass jar from Amazon, linked here.

  • A good cocktail set is key to good cocktails. I linked mine here.

Note: The Lavender Simple Syrup makes just enough for 2 drinks + a little leftover, if you plan on having more than two drinks or want extra to add to your cocktails, coffee, etc. I recommend doubling the recipe for the lavender simple syrup.

Ingredients:

For the Lavender Simple Syrup (Makes 2.5 Servings):

  • ½ cup water

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsps dried lavender

For the Lavender Lemon Drop Martini (Makes 1 serving):

  • 2-3 oz vodka or gin

  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 2 oz lavender simple syrup

  • Ice

  • Lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)

Directions:

For the Lavender Simple Syrup:

  • Add the water, sugar, and dried lavender to a small saucepan and bring to medium high heat, stirring constantly until sugar has dissolved.

  • Add in the honey, whisk, and shut off the heat. Let the lavender steep in the hot water for 15-20 min before straining into an air tight container. This syrup will keep in the fridge for up to a week and is great in cocktails, coffee, baked goods, etc.

For the Lavender Lemon Drop Martini:

  • Add ice, vodka or gin, lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and shake until your hand is very cold.

  • Strain into a martini or cocktail glass and enjoy!
