Preserved Lemon Green Beans

PRESERVED LEMON GREEN BEANS😍

Normally side dishes don’t demand their own blog post, but these green beans are so damn good they could be on the cover of a cookbook. Your new favorite way to eat green beans and the perfect side dish to all your summer barbecues. If you’ve never had preserved lemons, it’s the perfect flavor bomb you didn’t know you needed. You’re gonna wanna make this ASAP!



Serves 4-5 as a side.

Ingredients:

For the Preserved Lemon Green Beans:

  • 12 oz green beans, ends trimmed (I like the haricot verts from Trader Joe’s)

  • 7- 8 preserved lemon wedges, chopped (about ⅓ cup). Recipe here

  • 2 tbsps olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Directions:

For the Preserved Lemon Green Beans:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

  • Add the green beans and chopped preserved lemon to a baking sheet and toss with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.

  • Roast the green beans at 425 for 15 minutes until charred and tender. 

  • Enjoy as a side to my crispy salmon or pan seared steak and enjoy!
